Position Overview:

Amentum is seeking a dedicated professional to take on the role of Protective Systems Engineer. This position entails a diverse range of responsibilities focused on traffic management systems, access control technologies, and radio communication frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Expertise: Utilize your knowledge in Traffic Control and Lenel access control technologies. Stay informed about the latest advancements in the field and provide mentorship to junior engineers. Deliver technical assistance for system installations and modifications, effectively addressing complex challenges.
  • Maintenance Duties: Regularly update asset documentation, create job plans and preventive maintenance schedules, and perform site inspections to diagnose system issues. Compile technical anomaly reports and ensure optimal equipment functionality.
  • Readiness Assessments: Carry out evaluations of system readiness and communicate mission-critical information to relevant stakeholders as needed.
  • Project Collaboration: Work alongside various teams to establish system specifications, assist in proposal development, and ensure adherence to all requirements and standards.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, complemented by substantial relevant experience. IMSA Level 2 traffic control certification is advantageous. Strong communication skills and familiarity with industry-standard software are essential.

Preferred Attributes:

Willingness to travel may be necessary. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain Security Clearance.
