Position Overview:
The Systems Engineer plays a vital role within the Technical Operations Team.

This position entails comprehensive technical support for intricate enterprise-scale applications that leverage a multitude of technologies, both on-premises and in cloud environments.

The Systems Engineer's responsibilities encompass daily operations, collaborating with business units to strategize, design, and implement systems, alongside overseeing ongoing maintenance, enhancements, and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Apply principles of systems reliability engineering, DevOps methodologies, and ITSM service operation practices to ensure a highly efficient and available production environment.
- Utilize expertise to provision enterprise-scale software and services across both on-premises and cloud platforms, effectively combining resources for optimal product solutions.
- Provide technical leadership in OS performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Assist with the configuration, performance monitoring, tuning, clustering, and debugging of web/application servers.
- Act as a liaison to the DevOps process with project delivery teams, evaluating new applications/systems for operational best practices and technical feasibility against current standards.
- Participate in major incidents, offering technical guidance to analyze data from OS, applications, middleware stacks, and performance management tools, taking ownership of identifying failure points and restoring normal service operations.
- Collaborate within a team responsible for Incident Management, Request Fulfillment, Problem Management, IT Operations Control, Change Evaluation, and Change Fulfillment.
- Aid in the creation of clear and precise documentation for Level 1 and Level 2 teams to facilitate the resolution of simple to moderate incidents without escalation.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 5-10 years of experience as a Systems Engineer
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in Automation and Troubleshooting
- Experience with Containerized environments, AWS, and Azure
- Familiarity with ECS or Kubernetes
- Knowledge of Terraform
- Ability to provision infrastructure in cloud and on-premises settings
- Expertise in operating systems, particularly Linux and Windows workloads (with a focus on Linux)
- Experience in troubleshooting and supporting application teams, including server triaging and solution implementation
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation (24 hours every 6-8 days).
