Position Overview: The ASP Team is seeking a dedicated Director of Finance to oversee financial operations in a hybrid work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Accounting Systems Management: Develop and sustain comprehensive accounting frameworks to uphold the financial integrity of the organization.
  2. Financial Operations Oversight: Supervise daily financial activities, encompassing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense management.
  3. Budget Development: Spearhead the formulation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  4. Budget Monitoring: Prepare and track organization-wide and program-specific budgets, offering insights and recommendations for necessary adjustments.
  5. Strategic Financial Planning: Create and execute financial strategies that align with the organization's mission and objectives.
  6. Market Research: Analyze financial trends, performance metrics, and market conditions to inform strategic recommendations to leadership.
  7. Financial Reporting: Generate and present accurate financial reports to executive leadership, the board of directors, and relevant committees.
  8. Internal Controls Implementation: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to protect the organization's assets and mitigate fraud risks.
  9. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory reporting requirements and grant funding stipulations.
  10. Contract Review: Assess and monitor contracts and grant funds for financial compliance and reporting deadlines.
  11. Regulatory Knowledge: Stay informed about nonprofit financial regulations and reporting standards.
  12. Legal Compliance: Ensure that financial practices comply with applicable laws and regulations, including tax-exempt status requirements.
  13. Invoice Management: Prepare and oversee invoices and financial reporting.
  14. Audit Coordination: Organize and manage the annual financial audit process, collaborating with auditors to provide necessary documentation and resolve issues.
  15. Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit required tax forms and filings, including Form 990 for tax-exempt organizations.
  16. Financial Relationships Management: Coordinate banking, insurance, healthcare, long-term investments, and audit relationships.
  17. Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow to ensure the financial stability of the organization and its ability to meet obligations.
  18. Human Resources Coordination: Act as the human resource coordinator for the organization.
  19. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  20. Collaborative Environment: Foster a collaborative and results-oriented atmosphere within the finance department.
  21. Technical Assistance: Provide technical support to other organizations regarding accounting and financial systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  22. Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Bachelor's degree with experience in a nonprofit or similar organization as a Director of Finance or Controller.
  2. Proven experience in strategic financial planning and implementation of financial strategies that support organizational objectives.
  3. Proficiency in QuickBooks and other financial software.
  4. Familiarity with grant and proposal development.
  5. CPA certification is preferred.
COMPENSATION:

Competitive salary up to $150,000 with comprehensive benefits.
