About the Role

Avenue One is a pioneering force in the U.S. real estate industry, revolutionizing the rental experience for thousands of families across the country. As a Senior Portfolio Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Oversight: Maintain comprehensive oversight of Avenue One's Single-Family Rental (SFR) investment portfolios, ensuring optimal performance and returns.
  • Investment Strategy: Direct the implementation of investment strategies, business plans, and objectives for each fund under management, aligning with the company's overall vision.
  • Capital Allocation: Determine portfolio allocation and capital deployment strategies, presenting recommendations to the Investment Committee and making day-to-day acquisition and disposition decisions.
  • Financial Performance: Closely monitor all elements of financial performance, analyzing financial statements and making necessary adjustments to optimize portfolio composition.
  • Market Analysis: Review macro, market, and sub-market analysis of the US housing market, informing asset management strategies and driving business growth.
  • Portfolio Forecasting: Build and maintain portfolio forecasting models for capital allocation and deployment by market, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
  • Investor Reporting: Produce and update investor reporting, building and maintaining relationships with investors and stakeholders.
  • Operational Excellence: Implement budgets, forecasts, performance reports, timelines, and management plans, ensuring seamless execution and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of real estate private equity, residential mortgage trading, and analysis/asset management experience.
  • Education: Master's degree in finance, real estate, or related field with a strong record of academic achievement.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with MS Excel required; proficiency with SQL and Python/R preferred.
  • Communication: Articulate, decisive communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Outstanding leadership, management, and teambuilding proficiency, with a proven track record of driving high-performing teams.
