About the Advanced Technology Group:

The Advanced Technology Group (ATG) serves as the research and innovation hub within Dolby. Our objective is to explore future technologies, provide valuable insights, and develop pioneering solutions that drive Dolby's growth. Our team comprises experts in various fields, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital signal processing, and computer vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Innovative Research:
    • Lead cutting-edge research initiatives focused on AI-enhanced image and video processing, particularly in the areas of image capture technologies and advanced sensor integration.
    • Utilize a comprehensive understanding of traditional and modern image processing techniques to explore new methodologies that enhance image delivery and content creation.
  2. Talent Development:
    • Mentor and cultivate a team of researchers specializing in image processing and computer graphics, fostering an environment of growth and innovation.
    • Encourage a dynamic and collaborative work culture that prioritizes transparency and results.
  3. Strategic Direction:
    • Collaborate with global research teams to define project goals and drive the development of AI-based technologies that align with Dolby's strategic vision.
    • Engage with various business units to translate research findings into practical applications across product lines.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science with a minimum of 8 years of relevant research experience.
  • Expertise in image sensors, camera processing, and advanced computational techniques.
  • Strong background in AI technologies, including a thorough understanding of neural network architectures and their applications.
  • Proven track record of innovation in image processing and related fields, with a history of publications in prestigious conferences and journals.
  • Exceptional programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of researchers in a corporate setting.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English.
