Your Role
As a highly skilled and motivated scientist, you will spearhead pioneering research initiatives that delve into the core mechanisms of neurological disorders.

You will lead a research team tasked with identifying novel therapeutic targets and discovering innovative drugs to combat neurodegenerative conditions.

Your expertise will enable you to pinpoint new treatment strategies aimed at preventing neuronal cell death by intervening in the pathogenic processes that lead to cellular dysfunction and demise.

Collaboration will be key, as you will work alongside other research laboratories in Neuroscience, Immunology, and Ophthalmology, as well as with experts in human genetics, genomics, translational medicine, computational sciences, and drug discovery.

Qualifications
You should possess a PhD along with a minimum of three years of postdoctoral or industry experience in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Neuroscience, or a related field pertinent to our mission.

A proven track record of high-quality research, evidenced by publications in prestigious journals and presentations at external conferences, is essential.

Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for translating fundamental research into impactful therapeutic solutions are crucial.

Expertise in molecular and cellular biology, utilizing both in vitro and in vivo models, is required, along with a comprehensive understanding of the cellular pathways involved in neurodegeneration.

Preferred Experience
A profound understanding of the fundamental cellular and molecular pathways, particularly those related to neuroprotective mechanisms, is advantageous.

Relocation assistance is available for this position. The anticipated salary range for this role in California is $143,100 - $265,700, with actual compensation determined by experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may also be available based on individual and company performance.
