We are currently seeking a full-time professional in the realm of computer vision and machine learning. The selected candidate will become part of a diverse team of scientists and engineers, engaging in the development of cutting-edge Computer Vision (CV) and Machine Learning (ML) methodologies utilizing data from various sensors.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research, design, and implement advanced image processing and computer vision algorithms for a real-time vision pipeline, covering areas such as camera calibration, multi-object tracking, object detection and classification, segmentation, and multi-sensor integration.
- Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of existing in-house algorithms and models, ensuring continuous evaluation, gap analysis, retraining, and fine-tuning.
- Create state-of-the-art deep learning architectures and networks across diverse sensor data, including tasks related to training, evaluation, benchmarking, and deployment into real-time systems.
- Optimize algorithm performance across various development platforms and embedded systems.
- Develop evaluation scripts to process extensive datasets and accurately assess algorithmic and overall performance.
Basic Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Vision/Machine Learning with 4+ years of industry experience or MS in Computer Vision/Machine Learning with 5+ years of industry experience.
- Proficient in Python/C++ programming, with a solid understanding of software development best practices, debugging, and profiling.
- Comprehensive knowledge of stereo/multi-view geometric computer vision and classical techniques for natural scene imagery.
- Practical experience with OpenCV, PIL, and other image processing libraries.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major deep learning framework such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or ONNX.
- Experience in writing production-level code.
- Familiarity with data science tools such as Jupyter Lab/Notebooks, Pandas, Bash scripting, and Linux environments.
- Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with multi-sensor calibration and multi-view geometry.
- Hands-on experience with various neural network architectures (CNNs, RNNs, etc.) and specific methods for classification, segmentation, and object detection (Mask-RCNN, SSDs, EfficientDet, etc.) along with familiarity with common datasets (CoCo, Kitti, nuScenes, etc.).
- Solid foundation in software engineering with a commitment to producing clean, well-structured code.
- Understanding of the physical aspects of sensors, including cameras and LiDAR systems.
- Publications in leading Computer Vision/Machine Learning conferences and journals.
- Experience in statistical modeling, analysis, and significance testing.
- Experience with edge computing platforms (e.g., NVidia Jetson family, Raspberry Pi, ML accelerators) and coding for resource-constrained environments.
- Experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
