Role Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing Advanced Analytics and AI technical customer engagement initiatives, which include architectural design sessions, specific implementation projects, and proof of concepts. The ideal candidate will possess experience in customer-facing roles and demonstrate expertise in leading in-depth technical architectural discussions with senior customer executives to facilitate cloud deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the deployment of customer workloads onto Azure Data Services, enhancing platform consumption through deployment guidance and support for customers' cloud adoption strategies.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key customers to drive long-term Azure adoption, identifying and validating opportunities to accelerate deployment in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Lead project deployments, create relevant collateral, and provide training for sellers and partners in your area of expertise.
  • Stay informed on market trends and competitive insights to maintain a strategic advantage.
  • Mentor other technical sellers to achieve certification in necessary data platform technologies.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of data platform technologies and emerging computing trends.
  • Possession of Solutions Architect Certifications: AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with major big data technologies and frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, and MongoDB.
  • Hands-on experience with popular big data distributions like Cloudera and Hortonworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud big data solutions such as Azure HDInsight and Amazon EMR is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to build strong technical relationships with senior executives and expand data platform usage in strategic accounts.
  • Demonstrated success in collaborative decision-making, conflict resolution, and effective communication.
  • Minimum of 5 years in consultative technical sales and deployment projects, managing stakeholder relationships to achieve consensus.
  • At least 5 years of experience in architecture, design, implementation, and support of complex application architectures.

Preferred Skills

  • Project Management skills and/or relevant certification.
  • Demonstrable examples of Thought Leadership.
  • Leadership experience in major transformational projects and successful transitions to implementation.
  • Strong presentation skills with comfort in addressing both large and small audiences.

Education

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
