Role Summary:
As the Principal Infrastructure Engineer, you will be pivotal in shaping the strategic framework for our client's cloud infrastructure. Your role will involve ensuring robust security measures and overseeing relevant processes and tools. We are looking for a candidate who possesses a deep enthusiasm for technology, intelligence, and thrives in a collaborative environment. A strong background in managing cloud infrastructure and experience with global teams are essential.
Key Duties:
- Direct the strategic planning and technical oversight of the infrastructure.
- Guarantee adherence to PCI standards and work towards achieving SOC2 compliance.
- Formulate and execute effective standards, frameworks, and processes.
- Architect and develop infrastructure and processes that enhance performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Design tools and infrastructure to elevate engineering productivity.
- Innovate solutions to address business challenges.
- Prototype solutions to validate methodologies when necessary.
- Collaborate with various scrum teams, product managers, and business units.
- Monitor technical debt, emphasize its importance, and assist in prioritizing its resolution.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Over 10 years of relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in cloud infrastructure.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Preferred: Experience with financial systems, PCI, and SOC2 compliance.
