Systems Engineer - Onsite Role

We are excited to present an opportunity for a Systems Engineer to become a vital part of our expanding team.

This role encompasses the leadership of requirements gathering and breakdown across various initiatives for modifications driven by customer needs on existing products or the development of new solutions.

Travel to client locations may be necessary to assist with requirements gathering, technical discussions, or product integration. Additionally, overseeing qualification tests may require travel when deemed essential.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to identify their requirements.
  • Engage closely with customers, product managers, and design teams throughout the development process while facilitating key design review sessions.
  • Manage priorities and execution across multiple projects effectively.
  • Ensure consistent application of engineering standards and practices.
  • Assist clients in the installation, configuration, and utilization of hardware.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for both software and hardware.
  • Establish customized verification and validation strategies in close partnership with clients, utilizing analytical, simulation, or testing methodologies.
  • Oversee the creation or updates of Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEAs), reliability predictions, and performance margin assessments to ensure adherence to technical specifications.
  • Utilize qualification by similarity rationale where applicable.
  • Define and implement risk mitigation strategies aligned with project assessments.
  • Coordinate and define testing and integration activities in accordance with established verification and validation approaches, including collaboration with internal subject matter experts to configure various networking devices and applications.

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in systems or network engineering.
  • Experience within the U.S. Department of Defense environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with networking equipment is advantageous, particularly in DoD applications.
  • Understanding of fundamental networking principles, including routing and switching.
  • Cross-disciplinary experience in thermal, mechanical, and electrical performance analysis.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and leadership capabilities.
  • Experience in technical report writing.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites on short notice.
  • Meticulous attention to detail is essential.
  • Self-driven with occasional leadership interaction.
  • Proficient in organizing workloads and meeting deadlines.
