Position: Senior Systems Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Systems Engineer to enhance our innovative team.

This role focuses on overseeing the definition and breakdown of requirements across various projects, aimed at customer-driven modifications of current products or the development of new solutions.

Occasional travel to client locations may be necessary to facilitate requirements gathering, technical discussions, or product integration. Travel may also be required to supervise qualification testing as needed.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ascertain their requirements.
  • Engage closely with clients, product managers, and design teams throughout the development process, leading significant design review sessions.
  • Manage priorities and execution across multiple projects effectively.
  • Ensure rigorous engineering standards are consistently upheld.
  • Assist clients in the installation, configuration, and utilization of hardware.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for both software and hardware.
  • Design customized verification and validation strategies in collaboration with clients, utilizing analytical, simulation, or testing methods.
  • Oversee the creation or revision of Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEAs), reliability predictions, and performance assessments to ensure adherence to technical specifications.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies aligned with project assessments.
  • Coordinate and define testing and integration activities in accordance with established verification and validation approaches, including collaboration with subject matter experts to configure networking devices and applications.

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in systems or network engineering.
  • Familiarity with the U.S. Department of Defense environment.
  • Experience with networking equipment is preferred, especially in DoD applications.
  • Solid understanding of fundamental networking principles, including routing and switching.
  • Cross-disciplinary experience in thermal, mechanical, and electrical performance evaluations.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams to achieve shared objectives.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership abilities.
  • Proficient in technical report writing.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites on short notice.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-driven with occasional leadership interaction in engineering.
  • Capability to independently organize tasks and meet deadlines.
