Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to identify potential issues.
  • Carry out equipment maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication.
  • Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed.
  • Communicate with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and vocational or technical background.
  • Extensive experience in general maintenance, electrical, or refrigeration.
  • Parts inventory and requisition experience.
  • Exterior and interior surface preparation and painting experience.
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance, energy management, and other systems.
