Your Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with hardware engineering to design and implement test plans that assess system performance, validate design efficiency, and support product qualification of integrated solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in edge computing, GPU, and storage while representing PacStar to customers and partners.
  • Effectively communicate intricate technologies to diverse audiences.
  • Engage with technical personnel from third-party vendors to troubleshoot technical challenges.
  • Oversee the development of technology demonstrations, ensuring adherence to timelines and providing progress updates to cross-functional teams and management.
  • Conduct demonstrations at trade exhibitions, customer engagements, and online platforms.
  • Facilitate the transition of technology to production, contributing to test protocols, user documentation, and marketing materials.
  • Independently manage timelines, proactively identifying obstacles or resource needs to ensure successful schedule adherence.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, IT, or QA/Validation.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the following areas:
    • Troubleshooting Intel x86-based hardware systems throughout product lifecycles.
    • Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems.
    • Microsoft Windows server operating systems.
    • Linux.
  • 3+ years of experience in the following areas:
    • Developing and writing test cases.
    • Conducting performance, validation, and/or qualification testing for both new and existing products.
  • Experience in the following areas is highly desirable:
    • Virtualization, Storage, Network, and Systems Integration.
    • VMware experience, particularly with VMware ESXi/vSphere.
    • Networking devices (routers, switches, firewalls; preferably Cisco).
    • Hyperconverged infrastructure.
    • Ansible (or similar) automation solutions.
    • Deployment and implementation of new systems using a repeatable process.
    • VMware (or similar) virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
    • PowerShell, PowerCLI, or other scripting languages.
  • Industry-recognized certifications are strongly preferred:
    • VMware VCP.
    • Cisco CCNA.
    • Microsoft MCSE.
    • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security +.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to convey technical details to non-technical team members.
  • Capacity to learn from and mentor team members.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
  • Self-sufficient professional capable of executing tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Able to lift and transport 35 pounds of test equipment over distances.
  • Must be adept at organizing workloads and meeting deadlines.
