Job Title: Air Compressor Sales Manager

At SunSource, we're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Air Compressor Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing a sales territory in Eastern Massachusetts and driving revenue growth through the sale of compressed air products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Aggressively pursue sales of compressed air products and services, including new machine sales, accessory equipment, service, parts, rentals, lubricants, and consultative services.
  • Provide customers with engineering services and consultation, including the engineering of complete compressed air systems.
  • Proactively analyze customer accounts to determine potential for both present and future equipment needs and establish rapport between customers and SunSource.
  • Identify, develop, and educate a sub-dealer network in assigned areas to sell and service small air compressor products.
  • Research and prepare presentations of products designed to satisfy specific account requirements while maximizing company profits.
  • Supervise the acquisition, ordering, delivery, installation, and start-up of product orders for end-user accounts, ensuring that both SunSource and the customer fulfill contract requirements.
  • Remain current on equipment technology to enhance ability to succeed in competitive selling situations.
  • Expand product knowledge to products and accessories not normally considered part of the distributor-class product to enhance benefit to customer needs.
  • Represent SunSource at industry and high-level trade show events.
  • Provide advanced systems consultation to customers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business preferred.
  • Proven ability to grasp and work with technical products and sales, with at least three years of direct customer contact dealing with air compressors or similar products.
  • 2+ years industrial sales experience; experience in air compressor systems preferred.
  • Desire, self-confidence, imagination, commitment, and self-motivation with an ability to independently and proactively sustain required sales activity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with particular emphasis on developing positive relationships with customers, clients, and fellow employees.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Valid driver's license and insurability to operate a vehicle required for this position.
  • Proven ability to be a leader, manager, and motivator of others.
