Job Overview

Position Summary

The individual in this role is tasked with delivering precise and timely financial data for both internal and external stakeholders. This includes ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting records to facilitate the compilation, reconciliation, adjustment, and reclassification of financial and operational information. The position also involves the analysis of designated balance sheet accounts and the upkeep of their respective folders. Employees in this role are assigned to various departments, requiring specialized knowledge of the operations and financial statements pertinent to those departments.


Key Responsibilities

Core Duties:

  • Foster an environment that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock International for their entertainment needs; actively build and maintain guest relationships while mentoring team members to deliver exceptional service.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Manage the Fixed Asset Accounting System.
  • Maintain the company's Chart of Accounts, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in training sessions as required.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

(Relevant education and experience may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis.)

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting. A minimum of three years of experience in cash management and fixed asset accounting is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must obtain and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications as mandated by federal, state, and gaming authorities.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding financial information and company policies.
  • Pass a drug screening.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years old.
  • Prior experience with the launch of new properties or outlets is highly desirable.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of the gaming industry, including capital and operational budgeting principles.
  • Proficient in office procedures, methods, and equipment, including computer software applications such as word processing, email, spreadsheets, and databases, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Exhibit sound interpersonal judgment and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficient in financial systems and spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to use a 10-Key calculator effectively.
