Job Overview

Position Summary

The individual in this role is tasked with delivering precise and timely financial data for both internal and external stakeholders. This includes ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting records, which are essential for compiling, reconciling, adjusting, and reclassifying financial and operational information. The position involves analyzing designated balance sheet accounts and managing their respective documentation. Employees in this role will be assigned to various departments, necessitating a specialized understanding of the operations and financial reports pertinent to those departments.


Key Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Foster an environment that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock International for their entertainment needs; actively build and maintain guest relationships while mentoring team members to ensure exceptional service.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Manage the Fixed Asset Accounting System.
  • Maintain the company’s Chart of Accounts, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in seminars as required.

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(Relevant education and experience may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis)

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minimum of three years of experience in cash management and fixed asset accounting.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must obtain and uphold all necessary licenses and certifications as mandated by federal, state, and regulatory bodies.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding financial information and company policies.
  • Pass a drug screening.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years old.
  • Experience with the opening of new properties or outlets is highly preferred.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Understanding of the gaming industry, including principles and practices related to capital and operational budgeting.
  • Proficient in office procedures, methods, and equipment, including computers and relevant software applications such as word processing, email, spreadsheets, and databases, with strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Familiarity with financial systems and proficiency in spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to use a 10-Key calculator effectively.

  • Ability to independently initiate, follow through, and complete assignments and special projects.
  • Effectively manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.
