Job Overview:

  • Oversee intricate projects aimed at enhancing organizational frameworks within the designated area of expertise (e.g., Azure, .NET Framework)
  • Engage with IT personnel, Chief Information Officer, and IT Managers to formulate solutions that meet the agency's objectives
  • Examine application security assessments and work closely with the development team to rectify application security weaknesses
  • Draft architecture whitepapers and design documentation for modifications to application project initiatives and supervise the application architecture evaluations
  • Perform targeted research for the designated IT discipline/program team

Qualifications:

Core undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of 4 years of combined experience in assisting with the development and updates to the strategic Information Technology plan, participating in work groups to author the Information Technology plan, and performing solution design for the assigned discipline/program team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or advanced degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • Experience with Azure Environment, designing and implementing infrastructure/business continuity strategies, identity/security strategies, authentication, workload requirements, and Azure DevOps

Job Skills:

Technical: Computer Literacy, Application Design, Software Development/Implementation

Professional: Data Interpretation, Active Learning, Attention to Detail

Knowledge of: oral and written communication tools, customer support, state/agency policy, IT principles, network design, cost-benefit analysis, technology design, technical writing, documentation, and more.

Skills for: service orientation, critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, policy development, and more.

Ability to: prepare reports, stay informed on IT technologies, and more.

Additional Notes:

Unless mandated by legislation, the selected candidate will start at Pay Grade $36, Step 1 of the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule ($40.70 per hour), with potential for pay raise after satisfactory performance.
