Medical Billing Secretary I

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Billing Secretary I to join our team at 4S-Silversword Software & Services LLC. As a Medical Billing Secretary I, you will play a critical role in preparing, verifying, and processing medical billing and other clerical documentation for services provided to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and verify medical billing documentation for services provided to patients.
- Perform accurate and timely data entry of codes and other information into electronic billing software programs.
- Reconcile remittances, post payments to patient accounts, and research and resolve discrepancies.
- Provide information and assistance to other support staff, supervisors, and managers regarding medical coding and billing procedures.
- Prepare statistical data or reports concerning billing activities and statistics.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a hospital, medical office, or public health setting preparing and processing electronically generated medical billing.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Detailed-oriented, self-starter experienced in supporting medical technical and business professionals.
- Knowledge of and experience in Office 365, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Physical Requirements:
- Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
- Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen.
- Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner.
- There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required.
- Possible lifting up to 50 lbs.
