Job Summary

As a Behavioral Health Intake Therapist at SSM Health, you will play a vital role in conducting interviews and behavioral health assessments for potential admissions, including telehealth assessments. Your expertise will help patients navigate the mental health care system and ensure they receive the necessary support.

Responsibilities
  • Provide admissions and intake services to patients and potential patients, ensuring a seamless transition into care.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries from individuals seeking mental health care or information about mental health-related services, providing empathetic and informative support.
  • Facilitate the admission of in-patients and out-patients based on physician orders, coordinating transportation and referrals as needed.
  • Document calls and related admission information, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory policies.
  • Review all paperwork accompanying patients to ensure adherence to hospital and regulatory policies, verifying insurance coverage and prior authorization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Behavioral Health or a related field.
Work Environment
