Job Summary:The Behavior Technician will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) to implement individualized treatment plans, collect data, and maintain accurate client records. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with children and making a positive impact on their lives.
Responsibilities:- Implement 1:1 ABA interventions programs to children in their home, clinic, or school setting
- Provide direct behavioral services to clients in individual and/or group sessions
- Run skill acquisition programs with clients using Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior Analysis
- Complete daily documentation and maintain client's program book
- Work with BCBA/BCaBA to implement individualized treatment plans
- Collect data and graph data as instructed using technological programs
- Maintain respect and confidentiality for all clients
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's Degree in psychology, special education, Speech, Counseling or related field preferred
- A minimum of one year of experience in working with children, adolescents, and/or adults with special needs preferred
- Attend and successfully complete the following trainings prior to beginning job: New staff orientation, Handle with Care (Crisis Intervention Training) program course, First Aid/CPR/AED training, HIPAA and Confidentiality Training, and a 40-hour training on Applied Behavior Analysis
- Abide by the RBT Ethics Code
