Benefits Account Manager Role
We are seeking a skilled Benefits Account Manager to join our team at Scott Insurance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for servicing client accounts from beginning to end, managing all Open Enrollment requirements, and providing product and service information.
Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead the full-cycle renewal process for assigned clients, prepare proposals, and conduct market research to support new and renewal business.
- Provide superior customer service to group administrators, answering coverage questions and triaging claim issues.
- Work closely with our accounting division to reconcile commission shortages/overages and communicate frequently with insurance carriers.
- Document all renewal activities, including RFPs, proposals, and emails, in Applied Epic and Zywave's Brokerage Builder.
- Collaborate with production team members on client needs and requests.
- Attend networking events and seminars to stay abreast of industry changes and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 2+ years of benefit administration experience.
- Active Life & Health license or the ability to obtain a license within 90 days of employment.
- A proven ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Superior organization skills and experience effectively prioritizing multiple tasks and requests.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Excel.
- CEBS designation preferred, but not required.
