Benefits Account Manager Role

We are seeking a skilled Benefits Account Manager to join our team at Scott Insurance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for servicing client accounts from beginning to end, managing all Open Enrollment requirements, and providing product and service information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the full-cycle renewal process for assigned clients, prepare proposals, and conduct market research to support new and renewal business.
  • Provide superior customer service to group administrators, answering coverage questions and triaging claim issues.
  • Work closely with our accounting division to reconcile commission shortages/overages and communicate frequently with insurance carriers.
  • Document all renewal activities, including RFPs, proposals, and emails, in Applied Epic and Zywave's Brokerage Builder.
  • Collaborate with production team members on client needs and requests.
  • Attend networking events and seminars to stay abreast of industry changes and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 2+ years of benefit administration experience.
  • Active Life & Health license or the ability to obtain a license within 90 days of employment.
  • A proven ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Superior organization skills and experience effectively prioritizing multiple tasks and requests.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Excel.
  • CEBS designation preferred, but not required.
