Job Description

As a key member of the AccorCorpo team, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Sales and Marketing to join our team at the Fairmont New Orleans.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and increase market share. This will involve overseeing sales, marketing, and events budgets, as well as developing and executing business plans to achieve hotel revenue goals.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of hotel sales, catering, or marketing experience, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role. They will be able to travel on short notice and be adaptable to schedule changes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Opera Sales & Catering Software or comparable products is also required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and increase market share
  • Oversee sales, marketing, and events budgets, as well as develop and execute business plans to achieve hotel revenue goals
  • Lead the development and implementation of short-term and long-term strategies in all sales, events, and marketing channels
  • Collaborate with commercial leadership to ensure pre-opening and group pricing & rate quotation strategies are in place to maximize all pricing components of sales and catering opportunities
  • Work with brand e-commerce teams to build and establish hotel B2B marketing, digital marketing, social media, public relations, and communications channels
  • Develop and execute departmental expense budget and forecasts
  • Train and monitor the group, transient, and events contractual, legal, and risk agreement practices
Requirements
  • Minimum of five years of hotel sales, catering, or marketing experience
  • Proven track record of success in a leadership role
  • Ability to travel on short notice and be adaptable to schedule changes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Opera Sales & Catering Software or comparable products
