Job Summary:
The Market Manager will be responsible for driving sales and distribution growth of the company's products in the assigned market. This role will focus on distributor management, market development, chain and retail execution, and will require strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute distributor programs to maximize distribution, shelf space, and merchandising efforts within the market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, including regular meetings and communication.
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to drive growth and increase market share.
- Manage and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with the Sales Director to develop and execute the annual business plan and strategic sales plan for the market.
- Provide day-to-day management and development of Field Sales Reps within the market.
- Coordinate market blitzes and promotional activities to drive sales and increase brand awareness.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts and chain retailers within the market.
- Use data and reporting tools to identify opportunities for new or expanded distribution, lost sales, and incremental volume increases.
- Record and analyze sales activity and results to support sales and bonus objectives.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Beverage Alcohol Industry, preferably within the Beer Category.
- Proven track record of driving sales and distribution growth in a similar role.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and key accounts.
- Ability to analyze sales data and identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Strong business acumen and ability to develop and execute sales and marketing strategies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record, with the ability to travel up to 35% of the time.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
The Market Manager will be required to frequently lift and move 10-25 pounds, and will need to be able to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls. The position will also require the ability to handle stressors of the position in operational and administrative situations.
