Job Summary

Arc Broward is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Director of Family Services. This key leadership position will oversee the Family Strengthening and Respite Care with Enrichment programs and Intake, Social Services, and Case Management within the Children's Division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Program Development: Provide positive and supportive leadership that promotes a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and excellence. Develop and implement programs that support the mission and vision of Arc Broward.
  • Personnel Management: Oversee personnel management activities, including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluation. Ensure compliance with HR policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Fiscal Management: Manage department budgets in accordance with sound and responsible practices.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all contracts, policies, procedures, and regulations. Review and submit required reports for funders in accordance with executed contracts.
  • Community Relations: Promote public relations by educating community members about persons with disabilities and the organization's mission. Advocate for the rights and responsibilities of individuals with disabilities.
  • Enrollment and Records Management: Oversee the enrollment and disenrollment of children and families. Manage participant records in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Child and Family Services, Human Services Administration, Special Education, or related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in managing complex contracts with governmental funders, foundations, and other stakeholders. Experience leading large, diverse teams and coaching team members.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational, project management, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively managing multiple tasks and priorities.
