Job Overview

Crescent Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our culinary operations, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of our kitchen and staff, ensuring the highest quality preparation of all menu items and proper handling/storage of all food items.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage Kitchen Operations: Assist in the day-to-day management of the kitchen, including supervising staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  2. Coordinate Menu Planning: Work with the Executive Sous Chef to develop and implement menus, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  3. Lead Staff Training: Provide guidance and training to kitchen staff on new recipes, cooking techniques, and food safety procedures.
  4. Monitor Food Costs: Analyze and manage food costs, ensuring that they are within budget and that waste is minimized.
  5. Ensure Guest Satisfaction: Work closely with the catering department to ensure that all guests receive exceptional service and that their needs are met.
  6. Maintain Kitchen Standards: Ensure that all kitchen areas are clean, organized, and well-maintained, and that all equipment is in good working order.
  7. Collaborate with Executive Team: Work closely with the Executive Sous Chef and other members of the executive team to develop and implement new ideas and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
