Position Summary:

Innovative Solutions & Support (IS&S) is a leading international provider of avionics solutions, catering to a diverse range of sectors including civil, military, and commercial aviation. We are currently seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Materials Coordinator across various shifts. This position is integral to our operations, ensuring the effective management of materials and supplies within our warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment in compliance with established protocols.
  • Manage shipping and receiving processes, including unloading shipments and organizing inventory.
  • Utilize material handling equipment for loading and unloading trailers.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of incoming items, verifying counts and measurements against packing lists.
  • Input received materials into inventory management systems accurately.
  • Generate receiving reports for all incoming products.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient computerized inventory and work order system.
  • Ensure timely stocking and preservation of received materials.
  • Perform regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor and manage the availability of essential materials for production needs.
  • Organize parts in designated storage locations for easy access.
  • Verify the accuracy of warehouse orders prior to fulfillment.
  • Maintain the condition of stored parts and equipment.
  • Administer the Shelf-Life program for perishable items.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure material availability and support operational needs.
  • Process parts requisitions for shop and customer orders, utilizing computer systems for efficient retrieval.
  • Prepare kitting for production and prototype assembly.
  • Issue materials based on requisitions and address shortages in work orders.
  • Accurately pick and pack customer orders for shipment.
  • Prepare shipping documentation and manage outbound logistics.
  • Maintain records of outgoing shipments and ensure proper labeling.
  • Utilize protective materials for packing and shipping items.
  • Manage shipping logs and related data records.
  • Respond promptly to customer service inquiries regarding order status and changes.
  • Track and manage customer returns and rejects.
  • Facilitate the movement of materials between receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
  • Communicate effectively with all IS&S personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions with minimal oversight.
  • Utilize inventory systems for stock checks and order lookups.
  • Employ Microsoft Office tools as necessary for reporting and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in materials handling or manufacturing preferred.
  • Proficient in data entry and computer operations.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9000 standards is advantageous.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Capable of reading fine print and following detailed instructions.
  • Flexibility to perform various physical tasks including standing, walking, and lifting.
