Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at the City of Kentwood. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our Parks and Recreation Department's efforts in strategic growth, community engagement, and fundraising.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to support departmental initiatives
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including private and public organizations
- Identify and pursue grant opportunities to support departmental programs
- Provide leadership and vision to departmental staff, ensuring effective project coordination and support
- Collaborate with the Parks and Recreation Director to develop and implement departmental budgets
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Recreation, or a related field
- At least five years of professional experience in parks and recreation program administration, with two years in a supervisory role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Strong leadership and strategic vision, with the ability to drive departmental growth and success
