Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team at Motel 6 -- Tacoma. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check-in and check-out guests, register and assign rooms, and issue room keys/cards
  • Process guest payments, verify and adjust billing, and compute bills
  • Provide leadership to the team with ongoing training and coaching, and lead by example
  • Keep abreast of hotel policies, room rates, group and other discounts, and special offerings
  • Issue room keys, identify and explain room features to guests, and supply guests with directions and information regarding property amenities and services
  • Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts, and perform bookkeeping activities such as making cash deposits, completing daily audits, and running reports
  • Respond to guest comments or complaints, referring customers to the General Manager as necessary
  • Prepare housekeeping duty rosters for move-out and stay-over cleans, and inspect/stock housekeeping carts for service preparedness
  • Inspects rooms and public areas to accepted health and safety standards for pest control
Requirements
  • Good people skills for dealing with both staff and guests
  • Must have computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and the Hotel PMS system
  • Friendly, cooperative manner and patience in dealing with unreasonable requests or rude customers
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure
