Position Overview

The Community Sales Consultant is responsible for spearheading the sales initiatives within the community, contributing to the formulation and implementation of the marketing strategy, achieving occupancy targets, and adhering to the standards set forth by Century Park Associates in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This role reports directly to the Sales Director.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

A minimum of one year of successful sales experience in the senior living sector is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative and Strategic Planning

  • Maintains an accurate and up-to-date leads database.
  • Ensures the waitlist is current and precise.
  • Updates the list of primary and secondary referral sources within the local market.
  • Produces timely and accurate sales reports.
  • Manages move-in documentation efficiently.
  • Tracks new residents to ascertain their previous residences.
  • Conducts demographic analyses to identify areas with the highest potential resident concentrations.
  • Assists in the planning, development, execution, and evaluation of the community's strategic marketing plan.
  • Maintains budget compliance regarding labor and expenses, documenting all expenditures.
  • Monitors all marketing outcomes, including leads generated and tours conducted.

Sales and Marketing Focus

  • Enhances overall resident census and meets specific occupancy goals.
  • Builds and nurtures relationships with referral sources.
  • Aims to meet or exceed established goals, including sales calls, conducted tours, and follow-ups.
  • Effectively closes sales with prospective residents and their families.
  • Increases community awareness and visibility within the local area.
  • Participates in local marketing events and community engagement activities.
  • Assists in organizing and hosting marketing and waitlist events.
  • Designs and delivers benefit-oriented tours for inquiries.
  • Collaborates with the Executive Director and other department managers to ensure all community areas are presentation-ready.
  • Develops and manages the inquiry follow-up process to convert leads into residents.
  • Maintains regular communication with waitlist and leads.
  • Engages in conference calls with other sales associates within the region and division.
  • Ensures that objectives set by the Sales Director are achieved.

Additional Requirements

  • Must possess reliable transportation and be willing to travel as needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • A valid driver's license in the current state with a satisfactory driving record is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is necessary.
  • Must exhibit an outgoing, energetic personality with strong listening skills and the ability to persuade others.
  • Expert knowledge in the field of practice is expected.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions as necessary.
  • Understanding of the urgency to build occupancy and the ability to generate referrals.
  • Capability to implement and interpret the sales department's programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrates effective follow-through with prospective leads and referral sources.
  • Exhibits excellent customer service and hospitality skills.
  • Displays effective networking and account management skills, quickly building rapport and trust.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and confidential information.
  • Adheres to company policies, including harassment and compliance procedures.
  • Demonstrates integrity and professionalism by following Century Park's Code of Ethics and completing all required compliance training.
