Community Living Support Specialist

Overview:
The DePaul Lyell Road OMH Licensed Congregate Treatment Site is seeking a part-time Community Living Support Specialist. Under the guidance of the Residence Manager, the Specialist is responsible for providing care, rehabilitative training, support, and supervision aimed at developing and enhancing community living skills for residents.

The compensation for this role is $ /hour, commensurate with education and experience.
$1 shift differential for overnight shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver teaching, monitoring, and recovery-oriented support in alignment with OMH 593 and 595, which includes various rehabilitative services such as Assertiveness/Self-Advocacy Training, Community Integration/Resource Development, Daily Living Skills, Health Services, Medication Management Training, Parenting Training, Rehabilitative Counseling, Skill Development, Socialization, Substance Abuse Services, and Symptom Management.
- Ensure that each resident on your caseload receives thorough planning using a person-centered approach for admission (including completion of admission notes), ongoing recovery-oriented services, and discharge.
- Assist residents in preparing nutritious meals, including food preparation as needed.
- Support the planning, implementation, and facilitation of recreational activities.
- Provide safe transportation for residents when necessary.
- Complete household tasks assigned by the supervisor to uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
- Supervise and document resident medications in accordance with agency policies.
- Perform any additional duties required for the effective and efficient operation of the community residence.
Qualifications:
Community Living Support Specialist I:
- High School Diploma required. Experience in human services preferred. Must have a clean driving record that meets the Agency's Clean Driving Record Policy. Candidates must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Community Living Support Specialist II:
- QMHS Standard.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, or an Associate's degree in Human Services with three years of full-time related paid experience, or a High School diploma with five years of related paid experience.

The DePaul Lyell Road OMH Licensed Congregate Treatment Site offers a comprehensive level of staff support while promoting independence.
The program often serves as the entry point to all certified programs, providing 24-hour on-site staffing, meals, support, advocacy, and recovery-oriented services.
To enhance self-esteem and personal growth, an emphasis is placed on consumer involvement in activities outside the residential setting, including personalized recovery-oriented services programs, vocational programs, educational opportunities, and both competitive and non-competitive employment.
This part-time position is scheduled for every weekend on the overnight shift.Benefits:
