Responsibilities:


- Deliver teaching, monitoring, and recovery-oriented support in alignment with OMH 593 and 595, which includes a variety of rehabilitative services such as Assertiveness/Self-Advocacy Training, Community Integration/Resource Development, Daily Living Skills, Health Services, Medication Management Training, Parenting Training, Rehabilitative Counseling, Skill Development, Socialization, Substance Abuse Services, and Symptom Management.


- Ensure each resident in your caseload receives comprehensive planning through a person-centered approach for admission, ongoing recovery-oriented services, and discharge.

- Observe, monitor, document, and report on resident behaviors and progress in accordance with agency standards.

- Assist residents in preparing nutritious meals, including food preparation as necessary.

- Aid in the planning, implementation, and support of recreational activities.

- Provide safe transportation for residents when required.

- Complete household tasks assigned by the supervisor to uphold cleanliness and safety standards.

- Supervise and document resident medications in accordance with agency policies.

- Perform any additional duties essential for the effective operation of the community residence.

Qualifications:

Community Living Support Specialist I:
- High School Diploma required. Experience in human services is preferred. Must possess a clean driving record that complies with the Agency's Clean Driving Record Policy. Candidates must be at least eighteen (18) years old.

Community Living Support Specialist II:
- QMHS Standard.

- A Bachelor's degree in Human Services, or an Associate's degree in Human Services with three years of full-time related paid experience, or a High School diploma with five years of related paid experience.

Must have a clean driving record that meets the Agency's Clean Driving Record Policy. Candidates must be at least eighteen (18) years old.

Work Environment:


The DePaul Ridgeview Commons Apartment Treatment Program is designed to provide consumers with the highest level of independence within a program licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health. The program serves as a preparatory step for consumers transitioning to independent living within the community, emphasizing personal initiative and self-reliance. Staff are available for routine visits and on-call 24 hours a day for emergencies.
