About the Role

Stanford University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Parking Operations and Services to lead the development and implementation of parking strategies that support the university's academic mission and enhance the overall campus experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic direction and oversight to the Parking Operations and Services team, ensuring effective management of parking facilities, enforcement, and customer service.
  • Parking Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement parking strategies that align with the university's goals and objectives, including the development of parking policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Customer Service and Engagement: Foster strong relationships with students, faculty, and staff to understand their parking needs and preferences, and develop initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and experience.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships: Work closely with university departments, campus partners, and external organizations to advance parking initiatives and promote a culture of safety and sustainability.
  • Operational Efficiency and Effectiveness: Oversee the efficient operation of parking facilities, including maintenance, enforcement, and customer service, to ensure a high level of service quality and minimize costs.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure effective financial management of parking operations and services.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and university policies, and identify and mitigate risks associated with parking operations and services.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, or a related field, supplemented by at least 5 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role overseeing exempt-level employees.
  • Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated project management capabilities, proficiency in budget forecasting, exceptional communication and customer service skills, and a proven track record of managing parking and transportation programs within higher education or medical campus environments.
