About the Role

Palo Alto Veterans Institute for Research (PAVIR) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Finance and Operations to join our Leadership Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our mission to advance Veteran and public health through research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning and Leadership: Serve as a member of the Leadership Team, contributing to strategic business planning, development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Financial Management and Analysis: Partner with the CEO to lead and manage PAVIR's fiscal strategy, ensuring resource allocation is prudent and transparent.
  • Operations and Program Management: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and oversee PAVIR space at a federal facility.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Provide leadership and vision for a diverse team, setting goals, managing workloads, and providing feedback.
  • Process Improvement: Identify policy needs and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience: Seven to nine years of progressively responsible leadership and management experience, preferably in a nonprofit.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, proven leadership abilities, and experience with organizational change and process improvements.
