About the Role

The Primary School is seeking a seasoned financial leader to oversee the financial management of our organization. As the Director of Financial Operations, you will be responsible for leading the financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial information is available to stakeholders.

This role requires a strong understanding of financial management principles, including accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis. You will work closely with the leadership team to develop and implement financial strategies that support the organization's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the annual budget and financial plans
  • Oversee financial reporting, including financial statements, budget variances, and other financial metrics
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws, including tax laws and government reporting requirements
  • Manage cash flow and investments, including cash forecasting and investment strategies
  • Supervise and develop the finance team, including training and professional development
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement financial strategies that support the organization's mission and goals
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, including accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in non-profit financial management
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial management principles, including accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
