Position Overview:

The Senior Commercial Credit Analyst plays a pivotal role in conducting thorough credit evaluations and financial assessments for both new and existing loan applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Credit Analysis: Evaluate intricate financial documents related to credit applications to assess the associated risks and repayment potential.
  2. Loan Structuring: Collaborate with sales personnel to design loan proposals that safeguard the bank's interests while aligning with the client's objectives.
  3. Client Interaction: Conduct interviews with borrowers and relevant third parties, such as accountants or financial controllers, to gather necessary information.
  4. Data Verification: Confirm current exposure levels of borrowers using various loan management systems and ensure compliance with risk parameters.
  5. Credit Memorandum Generation: Prepare detailed credit memorandums that encompass financial evaluations, borrower backgrounds, and cash flow analyses for complex credit cases.
  6. Recommendation Presentation: Formulate and present informed recommendations (approval or denial) to senior management, ensuring all analyses and market data are included.
  7. File Maintenance: Ensure that all loan documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with internal policies before finalizing any agreements.
  8. Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with sales teams and internal departments to facilitate effective communication regarding credit evaluations.
  9. Process Improvement: Suggest enhancements to existing procedures to streamline the credit review process.
  10. Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior credit analysts and officers.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five years in commercial credit analysis or equipment leasing.
  • Proficient understanding of financial analysis methodologies.
