Position Summary

As the Chef de Cuisine, you will oversee the daily kitchen functions, collaborating closely with our Executive Chef to ensure that our culinary offerings meet the highest levels of quality and innovation. Your leadership will be essential in training and inspiring our kitchen staff, guaranteeing an outstanding dining experience for our guests.

Key Duties

  • Kitchen Leadership: Direct and manage kitchen personnel, including sous chefs, line cooks, and support staff, to ensure efficient kitchen operations during service.
  • Team Development: Provide training and mentorship to kitchen staff on culinary techniques, safety protocols, and operational standards to foster a skilled workforce.
  • Inventory Oversight: Supervise ordering and inventory management to align food costs with budgetary constraints.
  • Culinary Execution: Ensure the preparation and presentation of all menu items meet consistency and quality standards while minimizing waste.
  • Quality Assurance: Uphold stringent food quality, freshness, and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations.
  • Collaboration: Facilitate effective communication and coordination between the kitchen and dining areas to ensure timely service.

Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience as a Chef de Cuisine or in a similar leadership capacity within a high-end culinary environment.
  • Knowledge of cost management, vendor relations, and operational procedures.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a focus on team development.
  • A profound passion for culinary arts and a comprehensive understanding of diverse cuisines, particularly those inspired by Latin and Miami flavors.
  • Exceptional creativity and the ability to design innovative and visually appealing dishes.
  • Proven track record in motivating and developing kitchen teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Capability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic kitchen environment.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
