The Faculty Search Coordinator is a key member of the Office of Academic Affairs team at Harvard Divinity School, supporting the school's academic recruitment activities and events. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Faculty and Academic Affairs, this role is responsible for executing administrative logistics related to confidential faculty and academic appointments processes, specifically the faculty review process.

This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have experience in administrative roles, preferably in higher education, and be proficient in Microsoft Office and other software applications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining faculty hiring and review systems for internal and external faculty search and review candidates
  • Preparing online dossiers for review by HDS faculty members
  • Serving as primary contact for external evaluators and coordinating access to candidate materials
  • Planning and executing search and review committee meetings and candidate visits
  • Coordinating and maintaining direct responsibility for faculty search-related correspondence, reports, and other documentation

The Faculty Search Coordinator will also provide support for faculty meetings, assist with planning and preparing for meetings, take and prepare minutes, and make room reservations. Additionally, this role will call upon faculty for scholarly publications and activities before each faculty meeting and compile a report for distribution to the faculty.

The estimated salary for this position is $54,000 - $66,000 per year, depending on experience. This is a hybrid position that is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and may require occasional travel.
