Job Title: Regional Sales Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and revenue expansion in the Central Region.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a team of independent manufacturers' representatives to achieve sales targets and grow wholesale customers.
  • Develop and implement account planning strategies with major customers, utilizing customer-focused selling skills, prospecting, and lead qualification.
  • Lead budget and business planning for the Central Region, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the corporate sales team to develop sales strategies and tactics to meet assigned goals and objectives.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to improve RP Lighting's sales and market share in the Central Region.
  • Supervise sales of assigned territory and representatives, ensuring sales goals are achieved and providing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Visit customers and industry trade shows regularly, documenting meetings and providing feedback to the sales team.
  • Stay informed of sales activities, competitors' product offerings, and market trends, participating in new product implementation and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Provide sales and management reports as required, ensuring timely and accurate data.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a regional management role within the commercial lighting industry.
  • Experience leading and selling in the Multi-Family / Multi-Tenant building industry is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred and/or combined education and experience equivalent.
  • Prior experience working with independent customers, wholesalers, and manufacturers across multi-product categories is a plus.
  • Ability to think differently, motivate, and mentor a team of independent manufacturer's representatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.).
