About the Role

Audubon Companies is seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in a key role for our LNG projects. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the structural engineering scope, ensuring compliance with project technical requirements, and maintaining technical integrity of the engineering and design of the LNG facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Client Staff: Work closely with client staff to review and evaluate EPC bid proposals for LNG projects.
  • Project Familiarization: Gain a thorough understanding of the project through review of FEED foundation documents, including plot plans, PFDs, SOW, BOD, interface list, and owners schedule.
  • Contractor Performance Monitoring: Monitor the Contractor's performance and compliance with project technical requirements.
  • LNG Expertise: Provide knowledge of LNG Power Island and BOP design and applicability of US codes specific to LNG facilities in the US.
  • Multi-Discipline Collaboration: Call for support from other engineering disciplines when multi-discipline technical issues arise.
  • Technical Integrity: Responsible for maintaining technical integrity of the engineering design for their particular engineering discipline.
  • Technical Queries and RFIs: Answer technical queries and RFIs from contractors.
  • Design Review: Participate in key design review and ensure design review readiness.
  • Change Management: Monitor changes against baseline scope.
  • Impact Assessment: Assess the impact of differences from the FEED package and provide overall guidance on Piping (Design/Materials/Stress) Considerations.
  • Bidder Package Review: Provide overall review of bidders' packages to ensure that the proposals align with regulatory commitments.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience with an EPC company.
  • Professional License: PE license preferred.
  • Project Lead Experience: Medium/large multi-discipline project lead experience preferred.
  • LNG Project Experience: LNG project experience preferred.
  • Quick Familiarization: Ability to familiarize quickly with the project FEED and SOW documents.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work in a team with the Client's in-house engineers and managers.
  • Structural Design Review: Ability to review structural designs and plans, including foundation designs, temporary and permanent facilities, marine and mooring facilities, and structures.
  • Structural Codes and Standards: Familiarity with structural codes and standards.
  • Design-Related Advice: Provide advice on design-related issues related to technical guidelines.
