Professional Ethics. The Operations Manager serves as the site leader overseeing all production

functions including:
Distilling, Warehousing, Processing, Bottling, Shipping, Logistics,
Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement Initiatives. This role provides
comprehensive operational guidance and consistency to boost productivity, quality, safety,
environmental stewardship, and customer service outcomes in a combined production and tourism
setting.

  • Fosters a collective understanding of organizational values, operational principles, and
cultural transformation initiatives, aligning guidelines to support business
objectives.

  • Crafts short and long-term visions for distilling, warehousing, processing, bottling,
and site supply chain operations.

  • Guarantees the effective utilization of production operations to deliver a premium
product while adhering to established quality, cost, and safety standards. Plans, directs, and
ensures oversight of all distilling, warehousing, processing, bottling, and shipping at
the facility; ensures all quality, environmental, and business goals are met or
surpassed.

  • Plans, directs, and manages operational activities to ensure a safe working
environment.

  • Ensures compliance with established methods and procedures to maintain consistent high
quality products; Ensures adherence to company and regulatory policies and
standards.

  • Develops strategic plans by analyzing technological and financial opportunities;
presenting assumptions; recommending objectives.

  • Achieves plant objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results; allocating
resources; reviewing progress; making necessary adjustments.

  • Directly accountable for the operation's budget, production reliability, product
quality, regulatory compliance, employee health and safety, and environmental
impact.

  • Formulates short and long-term capital plans and major maintenance improvement
projects, establishing and monitoring departmental labor and overhead budgets and
tracking expenditures.

  • Reviews organizational and staffing plans to ensure they are aligned and sufficient
for achieving site and Brand objectives.

  • Oversees the assessment and evaluation of operational practices and procedures to enhance
effectiveness and efficiency of production. Ensures uniform application and
consistency of company policies and procedures while fostering positive employee
relations.

  • Enhances management effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training,
coaching, counseling, and holding managers accountable; communicating values,
strategies, and objectives; assigning responsibilities; planning, monitoring, and
evaluating job performance; creating an environment conducive to sharing information and opinions;
providing educational opportunities.

  • Encourages an inclusive environment while promoting accountability at
all levels and valuing the contributions of all employees.

  • Enhances company reputation by collaborating with customers, government, community
organizations, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices.

  • Collaborates with site Homeplace (visitor/tourism) to ensure an exceptional visitor/tour
experience while also achieving production targets/objectives.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field with 5 years of experience in
manufacturing leadership roles, preferably within the spirits industry, leading and
developing teams. Equivalent education and experience combinations will be considered.

  • Demonstrated inclusive leadership, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong business relationships both internally and externally.
    • Strong business, financial, and analytical skills.
    • Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes, continuous
    improvement methodologies, and quality, safety, and environmental practices.

    • Ability to identify manufacturing challenges and devise solutions to enhance
    operational efficiencies and cost management.

    • Proven history of achieving efficiency improvements in a production environment.
What Makes You Unique

  • Master's Degree (M.A., MBA, or Equivalent); Engineering or Business with 8 years of
leadership experience in the spirits or beverage industries.

  • Proficient user of SAP-ERP applications in a manufacturing context and understanding of the impact of transactions on financial areas.
