Position Summary

The Branch Operations Leader will oversee daily operational activities while strategizing, organizing, and guiding branch staff to enhance customer satisfaction, boost revenue, and promote productivity.

Key Duties
  • Provides strategic leadership across various operational areas including Inventory Control, Loss Prevention, Risk Assessment, Customer Engagement, Order Fulfillment, and Staff Training/Development.
  • Evaluates and drives operational efficiencies while being accountable for critical performance metrics.
  • Plans and supports marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Equips the sales team with essential information, tools, and training to enhance sales performance.
  • Maintains regular communication and collaborates with the Branch Manager and corporate teams.
  • Delivers regular updates to corporate management.
  • Contributes to the development and enhancement of process improvements.
  • Engages in the review and analysis of existing operational policies and procedures.
  • Monitors branch operational costs, including stationery and freight expenses.
  • Conducts quality meetings to share information and address issues.
  • Assists with inventory management, scheduling, recalls, service inquiries, and procurement of supplies.
  • Upholds the highest standards of quality and safety for branch staff.
  • Stays informed and is responsible for implementing relevant safety regulations at the branch.
  • Performs additional tasks as necessary.
Qualifications (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience)
  • At least 5 years of operational experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in developing operational procedures and programs.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to quickly assess and review details.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both in-person and over the phone.
  • Strong numerical aptitude; experience managing Profit and Loss Statements is essential.
  • Solution-oriented with the ability to devise solutions for various business levels.
  • Ability to effectively manage personal time and the time of others.
  • Demonstrates teamwork, leadership, and adaptability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards software is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, use hands, and reach with arms.
  • Ability to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to sit, climb, or balance.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 110 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
  • May be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
  • Noise levels are typically loud.
