Job Summary

Vivid Impact is a leading provider of graphic communications services, seeking a skilled Bindery Operator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality output at minimal cost, adhering to customer specifications and delivery schedules, and following company policies and departmental procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Team Lead to obtain daily work assignments and ensure accurate completion of tasks.
  • Operate bindery equipment, including setting up, drilling, stitching, grommeting, shrink wrapping, taping, cutting, marrying, collating, inserting, and gluing, following departmental procedures.
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of work to produce the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost.
  • Verify the correct quantity of products is produced as per requirements.
  • Load products onto skids, perform tagging/labeling activities, and move skids to the shipping or staging area.
  • Execute special projects as assigned by the Manager.
  • Maintain accurate records and documents, and follow all safety protocols and work rules.
  • Contribute to a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
  • Previous bindery experience is required.
  • Ability to operate all departmental machines, including: Grommet, driller, stitcher, cutter, folder, and various small hand tools.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands for handling or feeling objects.
  • Frequently required to speak and listen.
  • Occasionally required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and perform activities such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Effective communication skills with other employees.
