Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Offshore Geotechnical Technician to join our dynamic team at Jobot. This role requires a commitment to travel for extended periods, with the opportunity to enjoy significant time off.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Offshore Geotechnical Technician, your primary duties will include:
1. Conducting comprehensive geotechnical assessments and inspections aboard our advanced research vessels, which encompass soil sampling, testing, and geophysical evaluations.
2. Maintaining and troubleshooting geotechnical apparatus to guarantee peak performance and reliability during marine operations.
3. Documenting and reporting geotechnical results, contributing to the analysis and interpretation of collected data.
4. Collaborating with a diverse team of scientists, engineers, and marine personnel to fulfill project goals.
5. Upholding rigorous safety standards and protocols to ensure a secure working environment at sea.
6. Assisting in the strategic planning and execution of offshore initiatives, including logistics, equipment preparation, and deployment.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Geotechnical Technician or in a comparable role on an offshore vessel.
2. Proven expertise in troubleshooting and electrical diagnostics, with a solid understanding of geotechnical tools and equipment.
3. A degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Marine Science, or a related discipline.
4. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
5. Proficient written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively documenting and reporting geotechnical findings.
6. The ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team and adapt to the unique challenges of working at sea.
7. A valid seafarer's medical certificate and survival training certification would be advantageous.
