Actalent Engineering is on the lookout for skilled professionals to fill a Bridge Engineering position. This role involves collaborating with the field operations team to create installation calculations and methodologies for large-scale civil projects, including steel and precast concrete bridge structures, precast concrete parking facilities, and architectural cladding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply structural engineering knowledge in the design of steel and precast concrete structures, as well as bridge design and erection engineering.
  • Work closely with erection teams to provide effective engineering guidance.
  • Conduct engineering calculations utilizing software such as MathCAD, STAADPro/SAP2000, and RISA.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant specifications including AASHTO, AWS, AISC, AREMA, ASTM, PCI, and various Owner Standard Specifications.
  • Mentor and provide support to junior structural engineers.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or equivalent Structural Engineering certification.
  • Extensive experience in structural engineering, particularly in steel and precast concrete design, bridge design, or erection engineering.
  • Proficiency in using structural analysis software such as MathCAD, STAADPro/SAP2000, RISA, or similar tools.
  • Experience collaborating with erection teams to deliver sound engineering solutions.
  • Familiarity with and ability to apply governing specifications such as AASHTO, AWS, AISC, AREMA, ASTM, PCI, and various Owner Standard Specifications is highly desirable.
