The Transportation Construction Inspector will be responsible for observing and documenting daily Roadway and Bridge construction activities to ensure quality control and compliance with specifications and regulations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and experience in transportation engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections of construction activities to verify compliance with specifications and regulations.
- Review and interpret contract and job specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of inspections and findings.
- Collaborate with contractors and project managers to resolve any issues or concerns.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation construction inspection or 4 years of experience in highway or bridge construction.
- Associates Degree or higher in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering field.
- Preferred but not required certifications: NICET highway construction level II, PennDOT concrete, NECEPT bituminous.
