Position Overview

Actalent Engineering is actively seeking skilled professionals for a Bridge Engineering role. This position involves collaboration with field operations to formulate installation calculations and methodologies for substantial civil engineering projects, which encompass steel and precast concrete bridge superstructures, precast concrete parking facilities, and architectural cladding made of precast concrete.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage structural engineering knowledge in the design of steel and precast concrete structures, including bridges.
  • Collaborate effectively with erection teams to provide robust engineering guidance.
  • Conduct engineering calculations utilizing software such as MathCAD, STAADPro/SAP2000, and RISA.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant specifications, including AASHTO, AWS, AISC, AREMA, ASTM, PCI, and various Owner Standard Specifications.
  • Mentor junior structural engineers, providing support and guidance.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or equivalent structural engineering certification.
  • Extensive experience in structural engineering, particularly in steel and precast concrete design and bridge erection.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software such as MathCAD, STAADPro/SAP2000, RISA, or similar tools.
  • Experience working collaboratively with erection teams to deliver sound engineering directives.
  • Familiarity with applying governing specifications such as AASHTO, AWS, AISC, AREMA, ASTM, PCI, and other Owner Standard Specifications.
