This is a remote field position based in a home office. You can be based anywhere throughout the Eastern US, with preferred locations being Charlotte, Baltimore/Washington DC, Philadelphia or surrounding areas.

As a Sales Manager, Non-Commercial Foodservice, you will design, recommend, and negotiate business contracts with large Foodservice Management companies (FSMs) and Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs). Experience calling on the corporate headquarters is required.

You will work with Category Marketing across all categories to ensure Net Sales and Margin growth at assigned customers. You will implement directly at the operator level with the largest customer members and teams.

You will also direct the sales agency's non-commercial team to implement contracts and guide compliance. You will communicate opportunities and issues affecting field sales and distribution.

You will be a manager and trainer, motivating and developing Non-Commercial Sales Agency personnel. Coordinate with other Conagra sales teams on execution of non-commercial compliance and execution of local distributor selling opportunities.

Your Impact:

  • Achieve assigned quarterly and annual sales goals. Update and communicate progress with Management.
  • Maximize the business plan sales and profit within brand strategies and guidelines.
  • Conduct market analysis to determine customer needs, measure opportunity, and propose financials for sales accounts.
  • Develop, foster, and maintain customer and distributor, customer and sales agency relationships while ensuring communication of important information.
  • Deliver sales presentations to important customers, often with our Sales Agency.
  • Provide product training at sales agency and distributor level.
  • Maintain assigned priority accounts.
  • Develop self and others.
  • Travel up to 60% of the time in a combination of day and overnight trips.

Your Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent Regional Sales Manager experience required.
  • 5+ years of progressive foodservice sales experience, to include distributor, account and sales agency management.
  • Experience calling on a corporate headquarters is required.
  • Experience managing multiple product categories and customers. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge in sales, trade, and marketing concepts and methods.
  • Experience in development of customer relations and promotions management across multiple markets.
  • Interpret and use multiple information sources to develop strategy (i.e. Tibersoft, Technomics).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and applications, including Excel for sorting and basic formulas.
  • Experience maintaining working relationships externally with our strategic customers, agency partners and distributors; internally with Category Marketing, Business Development, Customer Service and Finance.
  • Experience in trade spending management; fiscal responsibility.
