Position Overview

This role is a temporary professional position within the Consumer Directed Care Plus (CDC+) Program, focusing on the meticulous monthly reconciliation of individual consumer accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the formulation and distribution of monthly budgets for current consumers, ensuring accurate monthly account reconciliations.
  • Manage the reconciliation of agency requests and the receipt of Medicaid funds related to individual consumer accounts within the CDC+ Program. This includes identifying and tracking necessary Medicaid adjustments and collaborating with program and area office personnel as needed.
  • Prepare and analyze various programmatic and fiscal monitoring reports to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain essential reconciling forms, procedural guidelines, and operational protocols for Medicaid fund reconciliation, including handling all claims—paid, suspended, or denied.
  • Draft professional correspondence to consumers and their representatives regarding any adjustments made to their accounts.
  • Monitor consumer statements for discrepancies and implement necessary corrections.
  • Advise management on issues related to the fiscal intermediary and program policies to maintain the financial integrity of the CDC+ Program.
  • Compile comprehensive reports detailing consumer monthly balances, including pending adjustments for various agency staff.
  • Coordinate responses to financial inquiries from CDC+ consumers.
  • Assist program staff in drafting financial policies that adhere to federal regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years of experience with Excel.
  • Two years of experience in writing professional correspondence.
  • Two years of experience in financial reconciliation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of:

  • Accounting principles and practices.
  • Data collection methodologies.

Ability to:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Compose professional correspondence effectively.
  • Conduct financial reconciliations accurately.
  • Analyze and interpret accounting data proficiently.
  • Organize and prioritize work assignments efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain productive working relationships.
  • Work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
