Position Overview

This is a temporary professional role within the Consumer Directed Care Plus (CDC+) Program, focusing on the meticulous reconciliation of individual consumer financial accounts. The responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely creation and distribution of monthly budgets for active consumers, along with the monthly reconciliation of their accounts.
  • Oversee the reconciliation of Medicaid fund requests and receipts related to individual consumer accounts within the CDC+ Program. This includes identifying and tracking necessary Medicaid adjustments and collaborating with program and area office personnel as needed.
  • Prepare and analyze various programmatic and fiscal monitoring reports to support financial oversight.
  • Develop and maintain essential reconciliation forms, procedural guidelines, and operational protocols for managing Medicaid funds, including all claims that are paid, suspended, or denied.
  • Draft professional correspondence to consumers and their representatives regarding any adjustments made to their accounts.
  • Monitor consumer statements for discrepancies and implement necessary corrections.
  • Advise management on issues related to the fiscal intermediary and program policies, proposing resolutions to maintain the financial integrity of the program.
  • Compile comprehensive reports detailing consumer monthly balances, including all pending adjustments for use by various agency staff.
  • Coordinate a responsive system for addressing financial inquiries from CDC+ consumers.
  • Assist program staff in formulating CDC+ financial policies to comply with federal regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of experience utilizing Excel.
  • Two (2) years of experience in drafting professional correspondence.
  • Two (2) years of experience in financial reconciliation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of:

  • Accounting principles and practices.
  • Data collection methodologies.

Ability to:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Compose professional correspondence effectively.
  • Conduct financial reconciliations accurately.
  • Analyze and interpret accounting data.
  • Organize and prioritize work assignments efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain productive working relationships.
  • Work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Prepare and maintain various accounting records.
  • Understand and apply relevant rules and regulations related to accounting.
  • Work effectively under tight deadlines.
