Job Title: IT Technical Support Specialist

At BrightHouse, a business division of the Boston Consulting Group, we are seeking a seasoned IT Technical Support Specialist to join our dynamic team in the Atlanta office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily maintenance operations for desktops, laptops, and OS X Servers, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Directly interact with end users through various modes of communication including phone, deskside support, and remote control to address their IT needs.
  • Deliver comprehensive technical support for Mac and Microsoft Windows environments, encompassing setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of desktops and laptops.
  • Install, configure, and maintain software, hardware components, and operating systems to ensure seamless operational efficiency.
  • Establish network connections, guaranteeing all desktops and laptops are securely connected to the network and associated cloud services.
  • Configure and maintain printers, scanners, and other peripherals, ensuring they are operational and meet the company's needs.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain audio-visual equipment, ensuring its readiness for company presentations and meetings.
  • Conduct tests for software and hardware compatibility, ensuring a smooth integration within the company's IT infrastructure.
  • Document technical issues and their resolutions, contributing to the company's knowledge base.
  • Maintain a comprehensive inventory of hardware, software resources, and parts to manage assets efficiently.
  • Assist in evaluating the company's technological purchases, ensuring alignment with business needs and objectives.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers as necessary to support IT initiatives and resolve issues.
  • Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as delegated by the supervisor, contributing to the IT department's success.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2-3 years in a Technical Support role, preferably within a consulting environment.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
  • Profound knowledge of Macintosh Systems, OS X, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, Android, iOS and cloud-based technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver an exceptional end-user experience with a positive and solution-focused approach.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the agility to adapt to user needs effectively.
  • Availability to respond to after-hour calls, demonstrating a commitment to support.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with the capacity to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and exhibits an exemplary work ethic.
  • A light level of coding experience is required, showcasing the ability to understand and troubleshoot basic software issues.
  • Basic knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, including generative AI, to support evolving technological demands.
